Outwild 2024
September 5-8, 2024 | Lotus, CA
Our flagship retreat for folks looking to create more outdoor, value-driven lifestyles. Join us on the banks of the American River in the Sierra foothills.
Outwild is a 3-day retreat for individuals looking to create more outdoor, value-driven lifestyles. Our retreat weekends are the perfect combination of outdoor recreation, life design, and community. During activities, we’ll focus on moving our bodies and going outside our comfort zone. During workshops, we’ll think about our lives back at home and brainstorm ways to feel more alive and aligned with our values. During meals, we’ll relax and connect, finding joy in the small and big conversations that happen when we spend the day in the sunshine away from our screens and routines. Come prepared for life-altering workshops, inspirational keynotes from industry leaders, and some rad outdoor adventures in the mountains.
Note: You must be 21 years of age or older to attend this event (our attendees range from 21-60+)!

EarthTrek Expeditions is a whitewater rafting camp located right on the water’s edge of the South Fork American River. This location is in the foothills of the stunningly beautiful, Sierra Nevada Mountains. It is (literally) on top of a premier rafting destination and one hour from the renowned Lover’s Leap climbing area. From the moment you step onto the grounds, EarthTrek will bring you back to childhood summer camp with its canvas tents, wood architecture, and tall pine trees. With the sound of the rushing river in the background, this property has everything you need to strike the balance between “roughing it” and “retreat.” Not far from your padded bunks are showers, real bathrooms, and plenty of spots to hang up a hammock.
Food and Beverage
It wouldn’t be a retreat experience without incredible food, which is why our talented friends at Path & Provisions will be catering the entire weekend! We’ll be providing locally-sourced, organic, vegetarian meals (with vegan and gluten-free options). There will also be ample snacks, tea and coffee. Please include any dietary restrictions at ticket checkout. Included meals: dinner on Thursday, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Friday and Saturday, and brunch on Sunday.
INCluded activity
Rafting (Friday): This activity is included in your ticket! This full-day adventure down the lower 13-mile stretch of the South Fork American River offers some of the most exciting Class II & III whitewater in the state and is perfect for anyone who wants a day out paddling in the California sunshine. The trip begins with several miles of bouncy, stress-free rapids before things get a little spicier in the Gorge with big waves, challenging chutes, drops, and unforgettable rapids like Satan’s Cesspool and Hospital Bar.
optional add-on activity
Climbing (Saturday): This activity is optional and must be purchased at checkout. If you choose not to go climbing, there will be onsite activities to choose from. The Phantom Spires are awesome free-standing towers that range in height from 40 feet to 250 feet tall. After reaching the summits of the highest spires, you experience breathtaking views of the American River Canyon. This area is known for its beginner-friendly doorknob-like handholds. Routes will range from 5.7-5.11. No experience required and gear provided! Space limited to 30 participants. Cost for experience is $145
