Eat to Thrive in the Outdoors - a guide to nourishing your body for outdoor adventures
With a PHD in nutrition and exercise science and athletic accomplishments like winning Western States, Stephanie Howe, lives and breathes the world of nutrition in the outdoors! In this workshop, Stephanie will start with nutritional basics and make sure all participants get a foundational understanding of balancing carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. From there, Stephanie will cover how to eat well in the outdoors, build nourishing meals, and fuel our bodies for outdoor performance. At the end, she'll cover the most important thing of all: our relationship with eating. The group will discuss what it means to have a healthy relationship with food and why that's so important for our overall happiness.
